LC-MS-based Marine Metabolomics Workshop

LC-MS-based Marine Metabolomics Workshop

Date: October 3-5, 2022
Venue: Sorbonne Université, Jussieu Campus, Paris, France

Who is this workshop for?
Are you interested in using LC-HRMS metabolomics to explore questions dealing with chemical ecology, xenobiotics or any organic matter in marine systems? This workshop is made for you!

Participation

We invite 30 participants from European marine labs to attend this free training (accommodation and travelling not covered). The participants can be early-career or well-established scientists, and do not
require any preliminary training with metabolomics. Selection of the participants will be done based on the candidate’s motives and profile.

How to apply
Send a short CV and paragraph by July 15th explaining your motivation to:
metabolomics_workshop@listes.obs-vlfr.fr

Overview
The workshop will contain hands-on practical sessions covering various topics, including:

  • Experimental design
  • Data Acquisition (LC-HRMS)
  • Data treatment (MZmine)
  • Statistical analysis and advanced analysis
  • Metabolite annotation (Sirius, GNPS)
Three plenary lectures will be given by key researchers in the field: Daniel Petras (University of Tübingen,
Germany), Elizabeth Kujawinski (WHOI, USA) and Georg Pohnert (Friedrich Schiller University, Germany).
